A “tenderfoot” is “a newcomer in a comparatively rough or newly settled region; especially : one not hardened to frontier or outdoor life” or “an inexperienced beginner.”

As a young professional living in New York City, this is how I feel 99% of the time: as though I will never figure out how to navigate everything and where I fit in, because there’s so much I don’t know. The good news is, I learn so many new things every day, without even really trying!

This blog is an attempt to share, as earnestly as possible, the things I learn (about the world, myself, other people, anything really) in the hopes that you might learn something too, or at least be reminded how much knowledge is out there and you are not alone.

Oh and the sea turtle? It’s my favorite animal, not just because they’re brave and adorable and totally righteous, but because of what they represent: wisdom, stability, creation, longevity, quiet strength. These are the qualities I respect above all others, mainly because I can’t really pull them off.

Although I guess you can be goofy and wise at the same time.
